Happy birthday, to my Firebird! It was built on this day at the Sainte-Thérèse Assembly in 1999!
Too bad I can’t drive it and enjoy it today, still waiting on that replacement wheel :(

You know the date of you cars construction? I don’t know anything about my car beyond the guy I bought it from.

The Vin number tells you a lot about your car including fun tidbits like its birthday :)

It depends on the manufacturer.
GM, for example, has the production date listed on the cars build sheet, which is fairly easy to obtain.
For manufacturers that don’t provide a build sheet or the like, it may be possible to figure out the production date by contacting the manufacturer’s customer assistance (through email).

There never should have been a last day. I wasn’t keen on the 5th gen retro loo but the 6th gens are looking much better. Makes me wonder what a Firebird + special packages would have been like.

It was a sad day for sure. You know, the 5th gen is actually my fav, having spent a considerable amount of time behind the wheel of a ZL1. But Im sure that will change when I drive a 6th. And Im not even biased, I own 3 4th gens.

Yeah, I think the ossue was they teased it at car shows since like 2005 and we’d hoped it would come back quick with a Firebird variant.
Then it came out too late as Pontiac was pretty much dead.
Only company to tease a concept longer has to be Acura with the new NSX...
